Anycubic kobra MAX

The Anycubic Kobra Max is a large-format FDM 3D printer aimed at hobbyists, prop makers, and professionals who want the ability to create massive prints at home or in a workshop, featuring a huge 400 × 400 × 450 mm build volume that can handle full-size cosplay armor pieces, architectural models, and large functional parts without splitting them into smaller sections. It comes equipped with Anycubic’s LeviQ auto bed leveling system that probes the bed using the nozzle itself for precise calibration, a filament runout sensor to prevent failed prints, a user-friendly 4.3-inch color touchscreen, and dual Z-axis screws with a floating nut design to maintain smooth, stable motion across tall prints.
The glass Ultrabase-style heated bed offers reliable adhesion and easy part removal, while the Bowden-style extruder with dual gearing is capable of handling standard filaments like PLA, PETG, and TPU (with some tuning). Despite its strengths, the printer’s enormous size requires a large dedicated space, and its performance can be inconsistent out of the box, with users often needing to fine-tune slicer settings, temperatures, and retraction values to avoid issues like stringing, blobs, or adhesion that is either too strong or too weak. Still, given its competitive price point compared to other large-format printers, the Kobra Max represents a strong value for makers who are comfortable with occasional tinkering and calibration in exchange for the ability to print very large, ambitious projects.
